Tour Guide Systems

A tour guide system ensures every participant hears clearly — regardless of where they stand in the group or how loud the surrounding environment is. Fluid AV supplies and installs wireless tour guide systems for museums, visitor attractions, factories, educational institutions, and corporate organisations across Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Tour guide systems consist of a small wireless transmitter worn by the guide and compact receivers carried by participants, each with a discreet earpiece. The guide speaks naturally and their voice is broadcast in real time to all receivers within range — typically up to 100 metres in open spaces. Multiple groups can operate simultaneously on different channels without crosstalk, making them ideal for large venues with concurrent tours.

Where tour guide systems are used
Tour guide systems are used wherever a presenter needs to communicate clearly with a moving or dispersed audience. Common applications include museums and heritage sites, where guides can speak at a comfortable level without disturbing other visitors; factory and industrial tours, where machinery noise makes unaided communication impossible; visitor attractions such as zoos, gardens, and castles; educational trips; conference and trade show facility tours; religious venues supporting multilingual interpretation; and construction site safety inductions.

System features
Contemporary tour guide systems offer rechargeable transmitters and receivers with extended battery life of typically 10 to 20 hours, multi-channel operation for simultaneous group management, two-way communication options allowing participants to ask questions, charging and storage cases for fleet management, and hygiene-friendly earpiece options including single-use and over-ear designs.

Integration with assisted listening
Tour guide systems can be integrated with assisted listening technologies including Auracast and induction loops to ensure participants with hearing aids can fully access guided content. Fluid AV designs systems with inclusivity in mind from the outset.
