Carbon Reduction Plan

The world around us has changed and we are all responsible for doing our bit to make the world a better place. As part of commitment to this, Fluid AV has introduced a Carbon Reduction Plan. This plan is in place to enable to to review and make changes to our policies and practices to reduce our carbon footprint as a business.  Our commitment is to achieve net zeros emissions by 2040.

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2021

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

Baseline Emissions are from Jan 2021 to Dec 2021.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 30 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 30%

Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:

17/5

Complete Carbon Reduction Projects

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 3.64 tCO2e, an 8%ge reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

2021

In 2021, we switched all our office lighting to low energy LED lighting.

We also introduced motion sensors to ensure that lights are not left on when not needed.

 2022

As of late 2022, our offices are now 100% supplied by renewable energy.

We have renewed our fleet of vans and replaced these with a sufficiently more economical models.

In 2022, we have been awarded ISO140001 accreditation which we will build upon.

2023

In 2023, we have gone through a period of growth which has negatively impacted on the carbon output. We have managed to keep this increase to a minimum.

2024

In 2024 we will plant a tree for every £1000 of revenue. This will help reduce our figures for 2024.

In conjunction with this we will introduce :

  • A reduction of company travel unless essential.
  • We will look to replace the next van with an electric model.
  • We will recommend that all staff travel to work and back in transport that utilizes renewable energy.
